UK house prices fall for 2nd successive month
(AP:LONDON) A major mortgage lender says that average house prices in Britain fell by 0.9 percent in August _ the second consecutive monthly dip after a 0.5 percent drop in July.

Drinking levels drop is biggest in 60 years
Drinking rates in the UK have had their biggest dip for 60 years, according to new research. The British Beer & Pub Association’s (BBPA) Statistical Handbook 2010 reveals that last year there was a six per cent drop in alcohol consumption.
