Not sure what you mean. Your phone is jailbroken? Technically there could be security issues with that, yes. But not necessarily. If you are concerned about security I would definitely NOT have a jailbroken iPhone.

It is up to you. There will always be a “next release.” You can wait and wait. You need to decide what you want and whether the current model fits your needs. It is also about budget. Lots to consider.

I’ve bought two imacs over the last year at Best Buy. Our Best Buy has an Apple Solutions Consultant, who always gives me a better price than the Apple Store. I also ordered software(Logie Express 9) from him for MUCH less than the Apple Store, & I get reward points from Best Buy!
I also got great deals on my Apple Care plans, because I’m a musician. I tell them I give lessons and I save over $40.00 just by telling them this. Yes, I do give lessons.
