Or less than 50 years, if you consider the rate in which usage is increasing. Do not apply current trends to future scenarios, it makes your oil supply predictions look weak. That’s what people to do exaggerate the abundance of oil we have left to use.

fyi, oil has a shelf life like anything else. you won’t be able to hoard gasoline for more than a few months before it starts to breakdown. and your post above is far off too. money represents value that you in turn use as a method of exchange. to me it seems you are close but not on the ball. just keep digging deeper until you get to the root, then you know your at the source.
There is no oil crisis please use it liberally.
And the US has enough oil for itself for the next 400 years.
The peak production/consumption of oil already occurred. Problem is oil is used as a raw material (asphalt, tar, plastic, etc.), but once refined for that, you have fuel that might as well be used in cars. Coal could be used as a raw material,, but it’s much more expensive (to mine, to transport, and process) to produce tar, asphalt and plastics from it when oil provides the raw materials in a form that can be directly used.

Lol if only I had the money. Though this is not like any other commodity oil energy is so important that when this happens and we are totally unprepared it will be accompanied by inflation of the dollar and other such things that make it not so much the obvious ‘bet’. So rather than a money making opportunity I see it as a need to put my money into solid assets. Though if you have the money and can navigate the market to make money of this go ahead its probably a good idea.

If declining oil supply combined with skyrocketing demand is going to be such a big problem, I presume you are spending all your money to hoard oil?
I mean, if you’re forecasting enormous price increases, you could make a TON of profits by buying now when its cheap and selling later when its expensive.

Their are 300m Chinese with driving licenses waiting to become the “new Americans” It would decades at max manufacturing rate to produce enough solar/wind generators to match what oil is using today.

Yeah I agree, it’s because a curtain has been drawn over people’s eyes and they have been scammed into believing it’s all real. I can’t stand people with egos because it’s fake and an illusion, I have no purpose for it.
