buy 100 books, get them signed, then sell them for more. you’ll make $1000.

  2. EricSchwin22 says:

Dump your cell phone plan, dump your internet plan and all cable TV…go out to the beach everyday and surf or swim, or go golfing, any hobby you enjoy. Spend money only on food and on occasion spend some money for yourself once every 4 to 5 months! Problem solved!!!

  3. clardava2 says:

I have never once responded to a youtube video (though I am a youtubeaholic), but I must admit: that “I saved more money by switching to Geico” was downright hilarious. Thanks for making me laugh!!

  4. someonelikeme100 says:

We do have a land line for contact with the children’s school, doctors, and my school advisers. It costs us $20 per month for the bare minimum.

  5. someonelikeme100 says:

My husband and I love pre-paid phones. Especially since he works out of state 90% of the time. We have pre-paid phones with mobile to mobile. We chose Cingular since the majority of our friends and all of our families use that service. It costs us about $30 every 3 or 4 months total.

  6. sharkytoothy says:

@pest0711 i also consider myself as one of the cheapest person.. in mobile phones, i use reverse calls like 08000mumdad. clever ei?

  7. MavinOfSavin says:

@MrEnergyCzar Your video is great! Thanks for sharing it. I only watched one – it would be great if you could summarize what each of the upgrades you did cost you.
We also love T-Mobile – we promote them on our web site and have 2 of their prepaid phones.
    Steve

  8. MrEnergyCzar says:

Dump your cell plan and get T-Mob pay as you go (minutes only).. I pay $100 for 1,000 minutes per year, no contracts…thats over an hour a month….

  9. sharkytoothy says:

  11. TVwriter23 says:

How is it teaching kids a lesson about money if they are so in debt up to their eye balls? All it teaches them is when they get out to do the same thing. Funny thing is the parents will be bitching talking about they never taught their children to be so crazy with money.

  12. imhotep1 says:

For some people not paying for their kids college teaches the kids the old fashioned pay your own way. It’s a tough love approach that sometimes works.

  13. jameelasaleemkp says:

Those entertainment books are awesome! Not only do we use them when eating out or going to a movie, we used it on a rental car when our car broke down. And a word of advice about coupons, only use the ones that are for your normal purchases. Don’t use a coupon just because you have it. Then you are just spending more and not saving.

  14. silas232003 says:

were can you get coupon deals and such. I wanna be a couponer. Ive tried a coupon book and I saved alot big time. I need site where I can pay 10 bucks or something a year or month and save huge amounts of money. Private message me or send me link or add me. Thanks – Canadian too – Ontario

Wednesday, 1/28/09. Looks like this was posted 1/19/07, (2) years ago already. They are talking about Christmas of 2006. I was just curious about the date of the video. I didn’ t see or hear anything while watching the video. I’m assuming the posting date is the one listed under MavinOfSavin.

  19. pest0711 says:

i saved more by switching to GEICO.

  20. goonerfromjhb says:

Some people should just stop drinking and smoking, not only does it save money, but it saves lives…maby yours.

  21. TVwriter23 says:

I’ve read articles where people diss this family out saying they aren’t impressive or if they want to be frugal don’t have so many kids or don’t have kids. What’s funny is that I’ve read and even heard kids to adults who come from 1-2.5 kid house holds tell me their parent’s will spend hords of money on clothes, cars boats. But when it came to school they wouldn’t give a dime. Yet a large family that’s frugal can send all their kids to college.

  22. TVwriter23 says:

Too many people want to live rich when they should be saving and investing to get there. Plus you can have both. Just because somethings not what you want doesn’t mean it’s not what others want or that either is wrong.

  23. thewheatguy says:

These are great tips, but they are things that I’ve done for EVER!! Of course there has to be a book because there are SO MANY more ways to save – little things add up even MORE!

I love to share savings ideas with people, but I’d rather show than tell…see my youtube channel.

  24. komebakking says:

mad respect to these people… they are smarter than most of you assholes posting hate on this video who go to the gas station in your big-for-nothing SUV to fill up for $100+ and then put it on your credit card and then go to Starfucks to order a cup of coffee for $5… hey thebbeast2012, sad to say that not even school will save you considering the value of most degrees are tanking faster than the value of your own dollar, go get enlightened to the new reality of this NEW world dumass

  25. Ganbareg says:

The idiot called america has no money!

  26. knowthecreditscore says:

A little bit of sacrifice goes a long way. But a good deal of the time you don’t have to sacrifice everything – you just need to use a little bit of brainpower!

You earn your money, then spend it – earn it -spend it – why don’t we just make a more clever use of the funds we have. That’s the fastest income supplement!

Good advice, but if you have nothing left to pay yourself with, whatcha gonna do? There is a program I learned about recently that can save you a TON of money, even compared to Walmart prices! Watch my videos to learn more. :)

  39. dnr216 says:

This advice is very good. BUT I MUST let you know about some incredible savings. So I was spending 100 dollars or so a month on my unlimited phone bill! Then I went to Walmart and got a Straight Talk phone THATS ON THE VERIZON NETWORK with amazing coverage and I am paying $45 a month! I’m saving $600 a year and the phone is great! Its definetly worth the cancellation fee because you end up saving so much money! The phone is great and the savings are even better.

  44. tazztt1 says:

Free advice is usually worth right around what you paid for it (freee advice) haha.

It’s important to invested in something that has a greater return vs. inflation (4% avg) or 600 would actually ‘shrink’ being worth less than what you saved.

  45. wingoman1 says:

great video, I love saving money and I save over 200 a month and earn money doing this would love to have you join me.

  46. epf85 says:

can someone please help …what is the best way to invest my money i justwon 1,000,000 iam thinking of geting interest on the bank any ideas please help >>>

  47. FaithfulAndTrue1 says:

“600 dollars invested will be… ummm…. eventually a whole lot more than 600 dollars down the road”. Talk about free advice….

  48. idkyoo says:

only a dumbass would have to call someone to help them save 40 bux a month. what? i bet you paid them 50 bux just to tell you not to spend your money on useless things. like I.e paying them to tell you how to save 40.

  49. idkyoo says:

what. dude. you’re thinking too much. the way you’re thinking over thinking is causing you to miss out on the point how she “says” it. when you save up 25 dollars, 25 becomes 50. basically you start with 25 a month and eventually it becomes 50 a month and it’ll be 600. shes just showing it as an example. WOW. you thinking too much. don’t hurt yourself.
